Jennifer L. Gianico
I earned my Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology from the State University of New York - University at Albany in 2010. I have always had an interest in how memory and learning processes function.
I began working on my M.Ed. in Instructional Systems Technology at the University of North Carolina Charlotte in the fall of 2018 with the goal of becoming an instructional designer.

My concentration was in Online Learning and Teaching, allowing me to focus my studies on topics that are specific to developing and managing online learning in a higher education context.
In the program I learned how to effectively apply the phases of ADDIE to address instructional problems. I have applied them to projects for myself and for a client. I also gained experience training instructors for online teaching. I find it very rewarding to work with a team and to work independently.
Outside of my professional activities, I enjoy travel and photography. Both of these hobbies provide enriching experiences that have had a positive effect on my work.
